moving along
I wasn't looking forward to summer starting but it is better, so far, than I imagined. This summer is different because T isn't using. He is so much better to be around. He shares things with us more than ever and I am starting to see some glimmers of maturity and, of course, it helps that he's clean. Plus I start teaching the preschool art classes and without a worry, for a change, as to where T is chilling. I got my new computer - which I'm thrilled about. I lost some additions and correction on my PowerPoint on the old computer but glad I used a memory stick to save the original before it died. Whew. I recently met with the drug counselor for input on my PP presentation and she had very little changes on what I have. I am not sure exactly how I'll change them but if I need further assistance she said she's available. I also joined a board of a brand new non-profit organization whose mission is to help families (financially) with drug treatment costs. The next fundraising event is a golf outing. Strangely enough, I'm still involved in the golf outing for the suicide prevention education group. I just volunteered for that day. My husband and his boss are golfing in it. The company is now one of their sponsors. Perhaps next year I can have his company switch to the new organization I'm helping out with. This organization needs the money much more.
