Movin' on Down the Highway
OK, if I'm honest: I'm turning into an emotional basket case. Today is my last day officially in this house. It's a really nice place out in the country with a little creek in the back and all kinds of trees, many that I planted myself. It's so full of memories (mostly good) that it really does choke me up to leave. But I have to. With another long-running tx to do there is no way I can keep commuting to the city. Life moves on. But, the new place is pretty good. Living in a subdivision with neighbours all over the place is a bit strange for us. But guess what? They all came over to say Hi and they are the most welcoming folks you could imagine. Cool! You don't find out how much crap you're lugging around til you try to move it all. Hmmm. I'm pretty sure there's a lesson in there. You got it: Emotional crap. How much of that are we lugging around? Personally, it's got me thinking... Well, y'all have a good one and keep bustin' that virus up. Just kill it one swimmer at a time, till they're all gone! Jack

Hi Jack, you know hon, it\'s perfectly normal to feel sort of sad leaving a place that you have been there for so long.
I\'ll bet once your all settled, you will love the new place, beside think about it, you will be able to sleep a little later than usual, without the extra mileage.
Now remember, take it easy, drink you water, and nap when needed.

One day at the time.
We moved last year and it was terrible. I\'ve decided on two possible alternatives: move once every three years to minimize collective of crap, or never move again and let my offspring deal with it when they sell the house.
I guess there is a third, I could do a spring cleaning as they say, but who has that kind of ambition?!
My fam is up in your neck of the continent, Sault Ste Marie, Ont. I hear it is a cold one.
Moving is the worst. Hopefully your new place will feel like home soon.
Aww, geez I didn\'t know you were having to give up your creek and woods. But, you are right it\'s a small sacrifice to your health. Sounds like some of that you have stored up would make a great yard sale in your new home. We live in a sub. and yard sales are the big event in this area on the weekends.
You perk up now. It\'s all going to be good. I really believe you know what is best and have done the very best one can possibly do. Give yourself some time to get settled in. Don\'t over do it.
Your friend,
Cindy
