Movie Music Composer James Horner

The Oscar-winning film music composer perished recently in his private plane that he alone was flying.  One can't help but wonder what could've been.  At a mere 61, he was but a whippersnapper compared to the likes of John Williams and Jerry Goldsmith.  Perhaps, in time, given more fantastic projects, his music would've soared to even greater heights and plunged to even greater depths.  Or maybe this tragic accident was God's way of telling him he'd reached the limit of his range, his time here was over, and it was time to explore greener pastures.  One can never know...
The opening Irish bagpipes of Mr. Horner's Titanic soundtrack now have a double meaning:  A recollection of all the souls who perished on board the doomed ocean liner as well as in the icy waters of the north Atlantic...and as Mr. Horner's own requiem.
