Movie Blues

Went with a friend to see Inside Out.  Was hoping it would lift my mood.   Wasn't looking forward to a little kid movie.

Well it was so depressing.  I feel 1000 times worse.  It was all about a child who loses their "joy" and sadness then loses touch with all their emotions and can't feel anything.  You get to watch their memories of early happy childhood turn to dust and her imaginery friend die.   God what an awful movie.
Since I am struggling with losing my children to adulthood and my youngest son being so emotionally cut off from everyone, when the "family" part of her personality died and fell into the abyss I about lost it.
This was not a movie I should have watched.  So much for light hearted family movie.
Yes in the end she starts crying and telling her parents what she is feeling and then they hug her and "joy" takes over the controls and there is a small smile on her face and it makes a new memory that is both happy and sad at the same time.  Ugh, yuck.  Too much real life for me.   I want to watch Cinderella where they all live happily ever after.  I don't need any more real life stuffed into my face.
