mouth sores
Got a fat lip and a swollen sore tongue a couple of days ago. Took a B12 shot and I still have a canker sore in my mouth but my tongue doesn't feel as swollen. Insurance company wants a prior authorization before they pay for my Cymbalta. It's Friday evening so I guess I am going cold turkey on it. Found out my ANA was negative that Dr Regier took. I go see her Monday and am very nervous. I would love it if I didn't have an auto immune disorder, but at the same time, how will I get better if we don't know what the problem is? Travis and Lauren are out of town for the weekend and Hannah is watching a track meet, so it's just me at home tonight. Very quiet here.

Started Plaqueinil a couple of weeks ago along with Medrol. The steroids really seem to be helping. I have basically been feeling like my old self again...that is until today. I\'m tapering off the Medrol and I am having a lot of joint discomfort and I wish the painkillers worked better than they do. My right hip feels stuck and I am having random joint pains as well. My lower c spine / upper t spine is swollen and even the skin hurts although the skin appears normal. My tongue hurts. Very strange situation!
Went back to the Rheumy this week. She ran more blood tests and I am waiting on the results. Her lab guy said they probably wouldn\'t get around to the ANA until Friday, so I guess I won\'t hear anything this week. The Plaquenil does not seem to be helping at all. Tried to taper off of Medrol, that went over like a lead balloon. My jaw is killing me. I am sick of Lortabs and I don\'t want to take any more. They make me feel so jittery. Right now I am just dealing with the pain rather than taking them. Tramadol helps some but not a lot. Back on Medrol and starting to feel somewhat better. The weight gain is insane from Medrol. Guess the bright side of my jaw hurting is that I don\'t want to eat. Maybe I can lose a few of the pounds I have packed on. My face is swollen and my eye is twitching. I guess this is not a very positive post. I need to get my attitude in check. Going to work on that now. My pain management doctor doubled my Cymbalta dose, so maybe that will perk up my negative attitude! I could use a nap.
