Motivation for SAHW.....
Stay At Home Woman... no kids / 3 dogs / a hubby /a part time job working at home... but there are days I am very unmotivated.
I taught 3 classes this a.m and then went back to bed... but after that I was very unmotivated... ugh. I've learned I can't wait for my feelings to get me started. I never FEEL like cleaning or doing mundane things...
I did get some book work completed / financial stuff for AFG....
Today I was kind of that way. I am so thankful for the Fly Lady. She keeps me on task. I just do not FEEL like doing it... but today I did it any way. I usually have my shower at night so all i have to do is wash my hair and put on make up.
So after running errands... I was B.O.R.E.D... so I set the timer for an hour... and pulled out the enamal baseboard paint, painter's tape and my good brush... and just decided that i would start and have it wrapped up in an hour. I got quite a bit done. ... More than I anticipated. Just 3 walls. But that's good. All I had to do was just make it simple. One wet towel. One big towel. A towel to set the paint on. My knee pads and back brace... *they make a lot of difference... and turned on music that I like and got busy....
I still had time to bake some fish and steam some potatoes and green beans and then walk about a mile. Yay. I like walking in our neighborbook, too. But ppl leave their dogs out all the time. It happens all the time. I'm not too happy about it either bc I never know if they are going to chase me or what.... ugh.
I need to start taking my spray deterent or wasp spray. yep. We have a LOT of big mean pits in this town. And we see them sometimes in our neighborhood.

I like to think of my emotions and my intellect as running buddies. They are not the same, but they make a good team when I can get them harmonizing from the same sheet of music. Letting my feelings run the show is a good way to end up with far to many hysterical and/or flighty tones. Letting my intellect run the show gives me the tonal qualities of a robot. On my best days, there is balanced give and take between the two.
My support dog ran to hide in the corner when I read the dog part of your post. There sure are allot of people who wanna kill her for the crime of her American Pitt blood. She's such a lover that a mean chihuahua can bring her down. A small dog bite is still painful and bloody. When I have to walk her in a neighborhood where people routinely let their dogs run loose and form feral packs, I carry a pocket full of rocks to defend her with. It ain't the dog breed that makes the diff. It's the people breed. When I was training dogs to pull carts, I carried a bull whip to fend off the feral packs. Just try to convince ignorant people that their precious puppies aren't the same while they are running with their pack buddies as they are when they are begging for a refill on their dog bowl. I don't keep up with dog breeds, so I didn't know she was a pit bull when I rescued her from the pound nearly 7 years ago. I didn't know that until the pit haters started reacting to her. I'm glad I didn't know. She's the best therapy support dog I've ever had and I've been using therapy support dogs since the 70s. She is my third.
That's good that you can make yourself do things even when you don't feel like it, I have trouble getting motivated to anything these days, lol
Last night was my first night back to work after my vacation and it almost killed me, I'm getting too old to waitress but don't know anything else especially anything that I would make the same money..
I give you a ,ot of credit for all the things you do yourself around your home.
Pitt bulls aren't always mean, some are like big babies, it's all in the way they are trained. I have a Mastiff hound mix ( he goes about 110 and all muscle ) that most of my neighbors are afraid of but he is a big baby, afraid of everything but because he barks when he sees people cause he wants to play they are all afraid and I kinds like it that way, lol
