MOTHERS DAY

I am enjoying my day so far and I am thankful that I still have my Mom to share the day with and let her know how much she means to me.  We don't always see eye to eye on things (hardly anything) but I still love her, respect her and would feel lost without her.  I am also thankful  for my three children and I know that I am lucky to be a Mom.  My youngest son is in fourth grade so he still makes me a card and present in school and I treasure these gifts more than any other.  This year he made me a pen with a rose attached and a book which both cracked me up and almost brought me to tears with his version of memories with me.  I have been getting these for years (since my kids are so spread out in age) and I just realized that they will be ending next year.  Once he goes to middle school no more handcrafted gifts.  My daughter did surprise me with a nice card that she made herself and wrote a nice note thanking me for all I do for her (I never knew they noticed) and her and my hubby just came home with a nice indoor plant for me.   We are going to a late brunch and I am getting hungry, I hope the food is good.  I just found on a website that a local park just added a huge butterfly garden so even though it is chilly out today I think I will take a stroll through the park with my mom and family to work off our brunch later this afternoon.  I hope the sun comes out it looks like it is trying.Happy Mother's Day!

Very moving, about the gifts from your youngest son, and how that chapter may be closing. Enjoy your day!
