Mother\'s Day or Drama Day (whatever you choose)
Tony and I went to his Mom's to celebrate Mother's day as my Mom died in 2003. Most of the family was there. His sister and her daughter were having some kind of problem so there was flouncing around and doors slamming and I got told " I don't want to talk about anything right now alright?" in a snotty fashion. Because Tone's sister is also in AA and trying to get me to succumb to it we have been very tight just lately but she acted like a 15 year old (she is 53) towards me yesterday and it made me cry. I cried, told her mother some people enjoy drama (her daughter) She understands that's true. So it sucked mightely that it happened as I am so happy to be sober and did not need any kind of crap like that. Live and learn Deb. Just when I open my heart to people is when I get treated like this and I'm not going to take it anymore. Life is really too short at this age. I have to reteach people how to treat me. Today is another day and it's going quite well. I helped mow the lawn. We have a third of an acre and then took our dog to the park for an off leash walk. He got into the water and then rolled in mud. Tony was mad but I told him if it makes you mad don't come cuz this is what dogs do. hehe
