mother's day is over
Thank goodness! I really got frustrated being reminded that I couldn't hear Lisa's voice; that my beautiful great grandbabies couldn't have their phenomenal grandma to spoil them rotten. It was a pity party for me.
I did go hiking on Saturday which was a blessing. I practically wore myself out - I did over 20,000 steps. I was too busy puffing and panting to think of anything else! I was in the Rocky mountains so half those steps were up! The view from the top was phenomenal and it was wonderful to breath such fresh air.
On Sunday we went for a walk in the park and I spent very little time on FB! A friend convinced me to go to a Blues bar - the music was great so with beer and blues, I got through the day.
We are booked to fly to Ottawa on June 14. I am so excited. I get to cuddle babies and celebrate 3 birthdays! Cevyn's bd is on the 16th, Andrew's is the 17th and Tiina's is the 24th. Cevyn called yesterday to tell us that the party is going to be at her dad's. We are now getting along with Harvey and Beth.
In the meantime it is one day at a time. I am off to my exercise class shortly.
Lisa: You would have loved the hike. I looked for your stump but no luck. You would have loved the hike. I miss you always and love you forever. Mummy

That's a lot of steps... I can help you if you like... add a challenge if you will... I'll come along... in a wheelchair... you all can push me... LOL I'm afraid that's the only way I could make those steps... So many things crowd through our minds all the time... joys and sorrows... just have to hang on and do our best. Hugs and hope you all have a great visit in Ottawa... We are going to Houma to see family this next weekend... Hugs
I can think of no better way to spend than day than by doing all that walking. Way to GO and walking has been a lifeline for me here on the island. It keeps me going and I have met some of the nicest people too. You are not alone in the exhales that I sense I feel with many of us that a tender day has been navigated once again. No matter how we chose to spend it we are each doing our best and that's more than enough.
I'm thrilled you have a trip to look forward to and you'll be with your wonderful family again. Get those hugging arms ready as I know you are.
Loving care to Lisa's mom from Douglas and me,
XO Joanie
Oh how wonderful you spent the day walking and looking a beautiful view. In saying that, oh how Lisa would have loved to hike with her mum and what a grandma she would have been....I believe though, that Lisa is here and through you, those precious little ones will know Lisa and love her. She is their Grandma!
I am so looking forward to meeting you @ the retreat. A trip planned is always fun to look forward to.!
((((hugs)))) Vicki, always Jennifer's mom
Wow, I am impressed. Do you know what the elevation was where you were hiking? Sounds like you will have plenty of celebrating with all those birthdays. I think Mother's Day is always a bit hard on all of us but I can understand your hurt of the babies never knowing their grandma. Sad! And Lisa never knowing the babies, even more sad!!! So sorry. Sending lots of love...
Hi Marlene, I am so with you. I'm thrilled mothers day is over! I'm so sorry Lisa isn't physically here to cuddle and enjoy those great grandies. On Sunday my grandchildren Josh and Christina had a meltdown wishing their Dad was here to know their babies. All I could do to comfort them through my tears is to say I know that somehow Eddie is with his grandbabies and commend Josh & Christina for keeping Ed front and center in all their family traditions. Their children all know who Papa is. That is the name Ed picked for when he became a grandfather although he passed before they were born.
Good for you, walking off all your pain. It helps me when I get very distressed to do something physical. So glad you will be seeing Cevyn and celebrating family birthdays and of course loving up those babies! So good to hear that things are good between you and Joe and Harvey and Beth. It must make life so much easier.
Enjoy Ottawa! Lisa will be with you. Love, Linda
Good idea great view for Mothers day. My daughter and the twins went to the zoo, I have not been to the zoo since Alyssa was 11, now the girls are 11 cool. They kept me busy it did not hurt as bad. We walked miles around and saw cool animals. I just enjoyed their company. Enjoy those babies.....
Love ya
Penny
You inspire all of us to keep moving on this path even thought it stinks. Peace, Kathy
