Mother\'s Day

Mother's Day was such a busy, exhausting day, but such a good day! A very dear friend was baptized yesterday, and another of our friends and I attended church with her. She was very nervous, but very glad she made the decision to be baptized! Her mom passed away (very unexpectantly)  about a month ago, and her life has changed so much. They were mother and daughter, and best friends, too. Her dad and siblings opted to not go to the service when she invited them, giving her alot of disappointment. But she was glad to be there herself!After church, she came with us to my parents' house for our typical 'get-together'. We had alot of laughs with family and friends. The funniest thing we did was get one of my dad's big garden hats and plop it on everyone's head for pictures! Everyone did their own special pose, and my mom did her usual 'don't mess up my hair' routine! Being silly and lots of laughing always makes for a good day! Hope everyone had a great weekend!
