Mother passed away

My mother passed away Feb. 19th, 2009 at 4:55 pm. The family was by her side when she took her last breath. We had been expecting this for a while now but we still wasn't ready for it to happen. Funeral service will be Tuesday Feb. 24th. We went to the funeral home this evening and they had her fixed up nice. She had gone down so much during her illness and had been in so much pain but now she is at rest. She looked like she was just sleeping. It is hard to let go but we know she is in no more pain and even though we miss her so much we wouldn't bring her back. We had been taking care of her for 6 years so it is going to take some getting use to not going in and checking on her. It is hard to believe that she is gone.

Wilson I am so sorry to hear about your mother. Yes, it\'s going to be a huge change because you will wake up each morning ready to do your caretaking and suddenly realize that she is gone. That\'s a big adjustment, but one that you will find peaceful when you think that she is no longer suffering. May God lift you and your family up in the coming days and may you find HIM real in your life.
Hugs, June

Thank you benice and junebug. The service was beautiful today and everyone has been go good to us. It is so wonderful to have a church family to lean on in times like these. It is such a comfort to know where she is going and that she is in no more pain and never will be again. I know it is going to be hard for us for a while because we are so use to caring for her but I know that Gods peace passes all understanding and He will give that peace to me. He has already given that peace to me because just before she took her last breath she raised her head up and smiled. I think she seen the face of God at that time and I think He was showing me that so I could have that peace. Thank you both for being my friends. Please pray for Carla, Glittergal, because she is going through the same thing.
