Morning , Mourning

Dearest,
I woke up on your side of the bed this morning. I must have been searching for you in the night. I sat there in the pale morning light staring at the rumpled bedclothes and mussed pillows, it looked as if you had just gotten up to get a drink of water. I knew better, I knew that you were gone. I just sat there overcome by your overpowering absence.
Your Ken

Ken,

Every morning I make one side of the bed. The other side, unrumpled. Unslept in. Every. Stinking. Morning. [sigh]
I know alone. I know the aching, sad, emptiness of that unused side of the bed where once my heart lived.
Blessings,
Linda

What is it about this time of the year. Everybody seems to be down in the dumps? Maybe it is the changing of the seasons. Just a reminder that our loved ones will never see them change again. Sending you hugs and hopes for a peaceful spring. Diane

It seems the only thing I use the other side of the bed for is to leave stuff on anymore. Its sad to only have to make one side. Kind of seems like our lives these days, one sided. I hope that the rain stops and that the sun can improve our moods. Sending you hugs in sympathy and understanding Jane
