More Swimming!
My hips are still hurting, so I spent some more time in the pool today. I went at 2pm again and it was empty again! I'm glad, since that meant I could do my exercise and float in peace. I'm getting tanned. My skin is itchy, so I have to put on more sunscreen when I go out there next. I don't know if I'm going to go on Saturday, since the pool is going to be super crowded. I'm just enjoying it while it lasts. I know come summer when the kids are out of school it's going to be insane. I can't wait until they open the pool in my apartment complex and I don't have to walk over to the shared pool next door. I want Geo to be able to go swimming too, and he has trouble walking over there. I just want him to get more exercise. I know it's doing me good. I've been losing weight on schedule. I lost another .5 pounds from yesterday, now I'm 214.0 pounds! The lowest I got while I was way under my calories was 213.5, so I only have .5 pounds to go to get back from that. This time I'm losing the weight the healthy way, not by unintentionally starving myself.
I plan on going into work tomorrow. I know that I should... I've missed a couple days. I just don't feel the motivation to go. I feel like I make too many mistakes and shouldn't be allowed on the computer. I know I'm fine, but my insecurities are telling me that. I just want to do the best job I can. Sometimes I wish I could go back to the Information Desk and just work there. It's simpler, and I can get on the computer there too. I know how to work it still, so it shouldn't be a problem. There is less things to mess up there, and I can use my Spanish skills to help translate. I don't want to go to a new department since I really do like it in Managed Care, but I'm just worried. I like the people there... they are nice. Even the people who have left for other departments come back and say hi on their break. Maria does that all the time.
Today was a normal day. I woke up around 1pm, had breakfast, and then went on the computer for a bit. I got to talk to my Uncle Jimmy on Facebook, which was nice. I kinda oopsed it when I told him my mom was in town for my sister's graduation tomorrow. He wasn't invited to it and nobody told me not to tell him. Probably because nobody expected me to talk to him. He messaged me. He's doing okay, just not sleeping too well. He's had a hard life, so he has a lot of nightmares. He smokes pot to try and get rid of them (he has a script for it, it's California where it's legal). I've thought about trying to smoke medical marijuana, but I'm not going to do it illegally. It's not worth the risk. I would just rather wait until it's legal where I live.
I don't want to get into a debate over medical marijuana. I have heard it is good for the problems I have (not being able to eat, having trouble sleeping, pain, etc) so I would like for it to be legalized. I would like to be able to try it without fear of getting arrested. I think it would be beneficial for Geo as well. He has a lot of pain from his arthritis and bone spurs, and I would rather have him smoke pot (if it was legal) than take Vicodin. But neither one of is us willing to risk it here, since it's illegal. I wouldn't even know the first thing about finding someone who would sell it to me. I'm sure they would think I'm a narc. I know nothing about illegal drugs, and I like it that way.
Mood today was good... It was nice getting to the pool. I also got to talk to a new friend I made, Courtney, on the phone. I met her over on Spark People. She seems really nice, and I'm glad that I met her. I've been meeting a ton of friends on that site, especially with the weight loss challenge group I'm in. Food today was good.. I'm in range for everything, even though I had chips and salsa with my lunch. I snacked on some trail mix and managed not to binge on it. I want some more of the peanut butter crackers I had last night for a snack. I can afford the calories, I'm just waiting until I get hungry to eat them. I don't want to eat when I'm not hungry. Sleep last night was good... I woke up a couple times, but I managed to fall asleep pretty fast.
