More Responsibility

So my boss at work (volunteer) wants me to come in more and help register to vote. Not just for this election, but all year long. The clinic gets a grant from the government to reach out to people who have special needs (like mental help, WIC, low income...) that normally don't get reached out to. I'm going to my pollworker training tomorrow, and I'm going to work the election. My boss is trying to make me the one in charge and train, It's a huge thing and I'm scared, but I know I can do it. I have been wanting to get a set schedule for a while so it's good that I have this. I'm going to be working Monday, Wednesday and Friday from noon to 3:30. I say noon, but if I wake up early I will go in early. I know I can do this!
Other than that, my weight is getting out of control. I got up to 234.8 today, when a couple of days ago I was 231.8 pounds. I've been eating junk food and not healthy stuff. I'm starting out today with Cherrios and coffee for breakfast, a Snicker's bar (oopsie!) and salad for lunch and fish for dinner. I need to start buying food I can pack for lunch so I don't go near the cafeteria (they have REALLY good food and I get half off, but can't afford 3 days a week). My mom is doing better... she has another puppy, Roxy. The last puppy they had they had to return since she couldn't take care of it. I hope they can keep Roxy... she's a pit bull like my mom's old dog, Lola. Seeing her with that puppy makes me want to have one. But we have to make sure we can afford another pet, and would have to have Angela (my cat) share the apartment. I want to go to the Humane Society and see what dogs Angela likes.

Pretty cool that you get to work with the election! Congrats :)
It should be an interesting year with the candidates we have..
I put on 14 pounds from December to end of January :/ That was easy by eating homemade strawberry shortcake a few times a week and junk food/take out. I need to get on track myself..going back to something you can try every morning, which is a glass of warm water with a lemon squeezed into it. This helps you get going and many health benefits with this daily morning habit.. Plz look it up and give it a try. Dogs are so cool, maybe something for the future for you. My brother has a pitbull mix dog named Lola which I absolutely love and get to spend time with her a few times a week. Pitbulls are so awesome, I wish people took away their stereotypes about this powerful but extremely loving and great pet.

any tiny dog gets along with cats generally. they also claim that chihuahuas are killed as often as pit bulls, especially older ones. anything over age 5 or 7 is generally killed at shelters. very sad. hope you get another pet.

best of luck with your diet and congrats on the new job!
