More Pieces Of My Puzzle...

Some time ago, I did realize that everything I have been through in my life has actually shown or taught me something. As hard as some of them were to deal with at the time...each has been another stepping stone on my journey toward that healthier, happier life.  I has also been the same with many people I have come to know.  Something we have shared or they have said, has given me more  insight... and I am grateful for that.

I have recently become very aware that my newfound zest for  life and endless curiosity does not necessarily carry over to all in the free world.  And I am reminded my endless chatter is often a turn off and annoying.  I have realized I do try to explain my self now... almost as if I have to convince others of something.

But alas, that lightbulb did go off.  I have made it past a lot of obstacles to get where I am now.  (Unfortunately, I do have to dig deep right now to get myself out of an unhealthy quicksand that does try to suck me back down and keep me stagnant and miserable... But come hell or high water, I will get there)  I too deserve that chance to be happy, appreciated, loved and yes.. wanted (and not simply for being a maid, cook, roommate and nurse) But I am done "explaining" myself or fearing showing a little too much to scare someone off.  I need to  simply accept myself just as I am  (like I hope others do)  It is up to others when they can take me or leave me. lol.

Be forewarned I will continue to care, to reach out and share with others, to be curious and yes continue to crave that acceptance and affection I have gone without for SOOOO LONG.  Only I will do so a bit more quietly  (that duct tape is in my paws.  lol)  And I will continue to continue my journey.... and I thank   each of you who has contributed. (and I wish you well on your journeys too.)

The lightbulb is a good thing. Although with wisdom (insight) comes ‘great responsibility ‘ lol. Stumbling through life in the dark may only seem easier because it doesn’t take as much effort as living mindfully. But that existance drains energy, never creates it. So in the end leaves one weaker. These days I believe any path being walked is increasingly rare. Keep your head high and be proud of the individual you see in yourself. There is and will always be just one. ‘ this little light of mine’.

Thanks. Years ago another friend did tell me to put my light on the hilltop for everyone to see because I was beautiful indeed.
Finally coming to believe this
