More of the same...
No news on Sophia yet. She has been sedated several times over the last couple of weeks for test after test and NOTHING yet to explain her pain. One Dr. said we may just end up with a Fibromyalgia diagnosis, though they don't typically diagnose it this young. I would hate that diagnosis for her because I have friends who have that and basically it means "undiagnosed pain." People are so skeptical about accepting its validity and it just is not what I want to end up with. Argh. Anyone can see she is hurting and I want a DIAGNOSIS. I don't even care what it is anymore. I am starting to lose it....I don't have patience for all the suffering I watch with no answers...nothing to work with.
We spend most days at Children's Hospital. Jason still does not have a job...and for a change, he is actively trying to help us get pregnant...except that every single month..I kid you not...he gets Ovulation Plague. LOL It is what we call it now...must be his body's defense... He gets a horrible cold/flu thing every stinking month...when I ovulate. LOL But, THIS TIME, he still rose to the occasion (pun intended I guess...lol) and if I don't get a BFP, I think I will just die of a broken heart. I'm done. We have so much stinking stress in our lives that we need a little joy, you know?!?
God is so good to us...I'm sorry to whine. I'm just exhausted. Oh, speaking of my exhaustion, I have a funny story to illustrate how tired I am and how "medical" our lives are. (I also see 1 million specialists now as they try to figure out all my stuff). So, Sunday morning, my oldest DD and I left early for a full day of running around to end at church (and youth group for her) Sunday night. All day I kept noticing that my right leg seemed to have shrunk...my hip hurt, my back hurt and my right leg was suddenly about an inch shorter! I freaked out and kept wondering WHICH of my specialists I needed to tell about this...and how often they hear of someone waking up with a shorter leg?!? I pondered this all day...even during church as I bent my left leg to allow myself to stand straight...trying to help my back. So, at about 6:30, as they did the announcements of upcoming events, I happened to look down at my feet and saw what was causing my bizarre "symptom"...I was wearing TWO DIFFERENT SHOES....one heel of which was 1" higher than the other!!! LOL HOW TOTALLY EMBARRASSING!?!?!? I told my DD to add one more thing to her departure checklist when we leave the house...check my shoes! LOL WOW. AM I EVER TIRED!
Please pray that Sophia gets some rest...I feel like I could die of exhaustion...I really do. They need to help her.

funny shoe story!!!
The shoe story made me giggle! But, most importantly, I hope and pray that you get some answers about Sophia. I cannot even imagine your frustration about this. She is truly blessed to have a mom like you who advocates for her. I think you are right. There HAS to be a diagnosis, and I do not think fibromyalgia is the correct answer. Keep hanging in there! BIG hugs to you.
Ohh hun I really hope they can figure out something for Sophia-and yes that was a fuinny story lol. I\'ve done that but not as bad-i had on the same STYLE boot but one was dark brown and the other blac! At least I was wearing flared jeans so it wasn\'t too obvious...I wouldve died if I had my jeans tucked into them lol. This was years ago-i guess its what I get for raiding my mom\'s dark closet without her permission!!
ah sweetie. I too have done the two shoe thing...back in college...mine was a white tennis shoe and a black boot. Ha! I\'m so sorry to hear they still haven\'t found what is causing Sophia\'s pain. It\'s incredibly hard to see someone you love suffering. It\'s emotionally exhausting and causes great arguments (at least for me) w/God about how He can allow such suffering in our lives.
Praying for rest for you.
Oh! and I too can relate to the \"Ovulation flu\". DH seems to always be sick month after month around that time. And it\'s not that he\'s faking it either! It\'s so frustrating. One time, a year ago he had pneumonia and I was begging him for sex b/c I was soooo desperate to get PG. Pneumonia!!! He looked at me through very sick and tired looking eyes and said very gently that it wasn\'t me, or our desire to get PG, it was just that he was so sick. Crazy things TTC makes us do!
Sorry to laugh but the shoe part is very funny...as for the ovulation plague....we have kinda the same thing over here...not that he is not rising to the occasion (as you so eloquently put it LOL)...but he has to be out of town.....its like OCD...ovulation crisis departures.....seriously.....I really hope that little Sophie starts to feel better soon and that you get some sort of answer from all these doctors and specialists.....it must be very frustrating to watch your baby cry in pain and not know what is wrong and niether does anyone else.....give her a big hug from me!!!!!...oh yeah and take one for yourself too!!!!!....I miss our chats and messages.....get better soon Sophie!!!!!
I had no idea that Ovulation Plague was so rampant!! LOL It is like a bad joke. And, no matter what people say, I am convinced that little swimmers are not as strong when our DH\'s are sick...so I blame the crippled swimmers! lol
Yes, go ahead at laugh at me about my poor shrinking leg! lol
When I have stamina and can stomach writing it, I will make an entry about our horrible week at Children\'s Hospital and the shrew that is trying to completely undo all the progress we have made toward getting answers for Sophia...We feel like we just got kicked in the gut by a horse. BAD.
In the meantime, thank you so much for laughing at my expense! LOL I have been laughing, too!!
I love you ladies SO much!! I wish I could connect with you all more often. Thank you for your prayers!!
