More of Kit
Kit and I are getting to know each other better. I have learned that if I want to read anything later, newspaper, magazine, circular, or pamphlet, I cannot put it on the floor as I used to. It will become a chew toy for Kit with messy results. So now, they must be placed on a table even if there's no space. My habit of separating the newspaper into parts I want to read later and putting the rest next to my recliner must change or resign myself to cleaning up the mess. Just about any toy can be used for a tug-of-war. The back yard is a great space to run at breakneck speed. A very old, nearly dilapidated toy can be played with in three ways,,,,as fetch, as something for only yourself(Kit[yourself]), and for a game of keep-away. Although I like fetch, there are few things more fun than watching Kit run around the yard with the toy in his mouth,,throwing it in the air,,,and trying to grab it off the ground as he runs at high speed. Kit must spin around three times before he poops. Why I don't know, but it tells me he's done it. Kit doesn't like moist dog food that comes in the packets. We'll find out about cans this weekend if I can lids. Kit is not a good watch dog although he barks at the door sometimes. This came to my attention yesterday when I had to have my car towed to the repair shop and he didn't bark when the tow truck backed into the driveway. Nor did he bark when the cab honked his horn to take me to the shop. Kit is very interested in my bodily functions, getting too close for my comfort when I'm sitting or standing. Reading the newspaper no longer a reason for him not getting on my lap. He is getting tolerant of different bed positions. He has to because He knows I'll just pick him up and put him where I want. The bed is his favorite place in the house. We're still learning about each other and it seems to be fun.
