More entertaining therapy
It was really enjoyable having the S's, H's, and B's over for dinner last night. I cooked and prepared all day, and shopped a few days before to make sure peaches, avocados and pineapple would be ripe. Half of them are on diets, so I ended up changing my menu. Added grilled salmon and changed the rice, appetizer, and dessert plan. No won tons, edamame rice, or whisky peaches and ice cream. Instead hummus/pita chips and edamame, akeya rice, and fresh fruit (and whipped cream) for dessert. So nice to have company. My peach sangria was KILLER. Also the kale-avo salad, korean short ribs, copper river wild caught salmon, and baby squash. Well the baby squash was just steamed and then with butter and rather blah; should have roasted them...It was great sitting outside in this lovely weather, drinking Marc's good wine-- 2009 Krupp brothers! Really enjoyed getting to know the B's-- fun, nice folks. Used the fire pit. Loved it.Definitely worth all the effort. Now to start my second load of dishes...
