More Drama

Last week, Jennifer (my mom's daughter in law) got drunk in a bar and got into a big fight with someone, and Tracy (mom's husband) broke a pool cue over Jennifer's head. Cops were not called. Jennifer gets home, shoves my mom so hard she fell over. My mom tries to get to the bedroom so she can get away. Jennifer kicked the door down and knocked my mom over again. Mom kicks them all out of the house (Ryan, Jennifer and their 1 year old baby) and they go over to another house. Tracy says if they go he goes too. So my mom lets them back in, and they continue to treat her like crap. She is 60 years old, has Parkinson's and can barely take care of herself and they make her babysit the 1 year old (He is named Ryan after his father, but they just call him Baby). She can't take care of a 1 year old, and they make her watch Baby so they can all go to the bar and get drunk. I was supposed to go up to see my mom for my birthday (Feb 3rd) and then this all happened... There was no way I was going to go up there since Jennifer lives there again and I would get into a fight with her... I'm very possessive of my family. So then she wanted to come visit me and Tracy says if she wants to come down here she would have to take the train (8 hours on the train) and she just can't travel that long. He says he needs HER truck for work. I am beyond pissed at this point... I told my mom that if she wants, she can move down here. I don't know how it would work, but Geo and I have discussed it and checked with the leasing office and it wouldn't be a problem. We live in a 2-bedroom apartment, so my mom would get her own room. I really hope she takes us up on the offer... they treat her like shit (sorry) and she needs a place where she is taken care of and not taking care of others.

I\'m with you. Your Mom shouldn\'t have to live under those conditions where she is constantly taken advantage of. You are very kind to offer her a place to live. Blessings and love to both you and your Mom!

where there is violence there is no peace. your mother should move. who owns the house? she may want to just sell the house. my friend\'s stepmother removed alllll the money in her joint bank accounts and called a mover to empty the house of all furnishings and then moved out on her father. she wasn\'t wrong to do this. other kinds of issues. but i think all of us learned from her stepmother that summer. she should call social service. he is better off in a proper foster home than being around all of that crap. st. petersburg is a really cheap area to live in florida, has she ever looked over there? and the weather is almost as warm as miami (though not quite).

hope it all works out. xxoo

I know my mom needs to move, but it\'s hard since she is married to Tracy and she would need to divorce him. she is welcome in my apartment, both Geo and I think she should move down here. I never thought about calling social services... I might talk to my sister about it (she\'s a social worker). They all smoke pot together and get drunk all the time. I think they need to get out of the house where my mom is living... but Tracy owns the house.
