Mood swings from hell

After yesterday at work, I decided I really need to do something about this. I figured until I can get medical attention that I would seek like minded people perhaps experiencing the same things I am. I am normally a positive person and yesterday I was anything but to my fellow coworkers, customers and my son. It's not fair to them to be the brunt of these mood swings. I went to work ok, not great, but then I got irritated, then ANGRY, then cried, ok, then angry, then cried....all within the space of 2 hours. I was never that bad with my regular period! A few days before I could cry at the drop of a hat, but it only lasted 2 days. Not really grumpy just weepy.
Like another woman that I had read a post, I had been able to cope with the mood swings before my period, but this...I never know when it's going to hit me or how severe. I just want to hide or be committed so I don't hurt someone, not literally, when (had to stop due to crying) it's not their fault or their problem. I don't want to even be in a relationship because I don't want him to see me when I am like this.
Until I started working where I do I had applied for insurance, but it cost too much so between my thyroid and this I am a hot mess.
My goal is when I can get insurance which will be my 1 year mark I am taking my butt to the doctor as soon as it's effective and get blood work done for thyroid and talk to him/her about menopause and treatments. I want ME back!!
