Monticello trip
The internet went down while I was trying to post photos of my trip to President Jefferson's home, Monticello.
It was part of a meet up group of the DC Day Trippers group. We met at the Vienna Metro at 7:30 Sat morning and car pooled down to Charlottesville VA. I highly recommend this trip. The views are spectacular. We got to go on a garden tour, slavery history tour and house tour. We only got to see the first floor of the house, no photos are allowed inside the house, if you pay more you'll see the 2nd and 3rd floors. We did get to see the kitchen and stables under the house.
It rained a little on the way down but got sunny when we got there, We had lunch at Michie's Tavern which is down the road It is an historic place, buffet style, and you can take a tour. We didn't have time for the tour.

Dear Lily, amazing adventure, and beautiful views, and pictures you too :) wow! :) that\'s so lovely, the sights, and how you visited Monticello, and got to see all of these wonderfully history places, and views :) it\'s truly amazing :) thinking back, to all of the history, and how Jefferson himself, saw all of these same sights, that you all got to enjoy, during the tour :) the plants, and gardens are beautiful, and i also love that you all got to see the kitchen, and the nice items they had back then, to use :) it\'s historic, and also very heart warming :) the last picture, has a spectacular view for miles and miles, which is so nice, to see :) i\'m very happy, you got to enjoy the adventure, and seeing all of these sights :) i am so happy, i get to hear back, and view your new pictures :) Thank you Lily, for sharing with us :) Everything looks amazing, and is a wonderful joy :) i wish you many more adventures, like this :) Thank you again, for sharing :)
