Monday - wish it were a Sunday, that's my funday.

I feel better this morning.  I was feeling pretty bad last night.  Mostly it was my eyes burning but I could also tell that it was going to rain by the aching in my shoulders and feet and several other places.  I can usually tolerate a lot of pain but when it is in my shoulders I just can't take it very long.  It did rain during the night and it is still really wet out but I feel better.  I'm achy but it's light.  I do have this painful nerve pain in my back just above my waist and just left of my spine. It feels like a bee is stinging me repeatedly....  it is really bugging me.
Anyway, my doctor wanted me to exercise at least 1- to 15 minutes every day - even if I'm hurting.  That made me want to say something mean but I bit my tongue.  I'm assuming she doesn't have fibromyalgia since she is working and walking like a normal person.  cheese.
Cheese is my code word to redirect and be more positive.  A friend of mine told me this story about their daughter that was 3 years old.  They were all in the car and the couple started arguing.  Then the little girl suddenly yelled, "can't we talk about something nice, like cheese!"  So now the word cheese always makes me chuckle.
So I set a goal on here to exercise every day for at least 10 minutes even when I'm in pain.... bad pain.... I'm always in some pain.  I just got on my stationary bike and went 12 minutes and 2 miles.  My bike sits by the big window in the living room so I can sit in the sun (if there were any) and look out at my flowers, yard, and see the kids playing at the park.  Well the other day I had one of my son's put up a shepherd's hook with two bird feeders by the window.  It was out there before but no birds ever used it that I ever saw.  Well I had just planted some plants in the bed just below the window.  The window is 8 or 9 ft long and the garden is a little longer.  Anyway, we moved the bird feeder so it is in the garden and between two plants.  It is also under the overhang so most of it is sheltered from the rain.  Well, while I was on my bike I saw a small movement and it was a bird out there on the bird feeder eating and preening it's feathers.  At first I thought it was just a mosquito but think I noticed it was actually eating birdseed.  I think it's a dark-eyed junco.  There was a teeny-tiny nest in my back yard last year and I finally found out they were juncos.  They are small like finches.  It was so neat to watch it hop between feeders and it would get close to the edge to catch a little bit of the mist like rain and then move away a bit and preen.  Little tiny under-feathers flew off of him when he did that.
Just think, I would have missed that if I didn't exercise on my stationary bike today.
Oh, my doctor also wants me to make a small list of things to do each day and to not lay down until I make sure they are done.  I tend to just go lay down and sleep when I hurt which is all the time and I get depressed.
1. Go to summer school mandatory parent meeting at 9am
2. Do at least two loads of laundry
3  Clean main bathroom floor
4. Pester the kids and don't let them sleep or play video games all day
5. Read more in the Bible.  (I'm reading the whole bible this year. I'm currently in Numbers)
6  Give myself a pedicure so I feel pretty.
7. Don't eat the kitchen today - your on a diet.
