Monday over and out...
So I am really quite glad today is over. I awoke this morning at 430am thanks to my cat (I had accidentally locked her in the laundry in an attempt to catch another cat that ha been sneaking in and stealing her food!) but then I couldn't get back to sleep...once again work was on my mind.
I know that I have mentioned it before but I work with radiation...and in particular radioactive patients. Obviously being pregnant and being around these patients is a huge no-no...anyway, this week I have been rostered to two days of scanning these patients which usually would be fine, except for a few things....I am in the dreaded two week and I have had a shot of HCG so my stupid body is actually pretending to be pregnant...which is really messing with my mind!! The other factor being that you can actually still be rostered in that particular area if ther are other people around to handle the patients...however, one of the days I am rostered with my already pregnant colleague (yes the same one that I have had heaps of tension with lately) so this had been weighing on my mind...alot.I also didn't want to draw attention to the fact that I wanted to swap out of the shift as I didn't want the workplace gossip to start. Anyway, long story short, I approached pregnant colleague and explained situation...she was really supportive and nice and has swapped herself out of the shift so that it won't draw attention to me in case I am indeed not pregnant. Ugh I hope that makes sense...I just wanted to share how lovely she was about it all.
Anyway, the rest of the day went ok but I am happy to be home watching Bridget Jones (again)...just for a laugh.
ok my 3 things....
1. The kindness of colleagues-as mentioned above.
2. Bridget Jones' Diary (whichever movie...both are great!)
3. The soundtrack to above movie....one of the greatest!
Ok, thats me done....only another 9 days til AF due...bring on a BFP.
