Monday Morning Argument

Well we are scheduled to tell the kids on January 17th now.  Over the last week things had been pretty calm between my stbx and myself...no real conflicts or arguments.  Was starting to feel maybe I can get by with her for a bit longer and not do the separation (still trying to protect the kids feeings), but this morning we had one of those agruments and it was pretty petty.  My son got some new high top shoes over the weekend.  He asked me this morning what shoes he should wear to school and I said his older pair so as to keep the new ones looking good for awhile.  Then my stbx asked when will he then be able to wear the new shoes if he cant wear them to school.  So I told my son to go ahead and wear his new shoes then if he wanted.  So wife got all fussey saying I was being shitty (actually used the word out loud!).  So I basically walked back into my room to get dressed for work.  Looked at this arguement as just another reason why we NEED to proceed with the separation and ultimately divorce.  Just need to VENT!
