Today was just like the rest. Got up this morning at 5:30am for work. I had to change my hours at work to coninside with the radiation treatments. I think I will be done around the 1st of April. It is getting really old going to Roswell park for those radiation treatments. Its really easy to park, run in and get the treatments. They actually have a parking lot for radiation patients. I do have a parking pass. I leave work at 2:30 to get to Roswell at 3.
One of my radiology techs happens to be a cousin of one of my co-workers. Its nice to have someone in the room that I can be comfortable with. The other rad tech is a guy named Bodie, he is russian. Nice guy. I don't care if he is in the room with me. I am not modest.
I am starting to get shooting pains and exaustion from the radiation. I know its day 8 but this part of radiation is happening now (they said it would happen at week 2-3). I also noticed that I am starting to get red around the incision site. Right now, its just very faint red. They told me it will only get worse as it progresses.
I actually ok today. alittle sore from radiation and need to rest.
PKD - nothing to report. I see the physician on 3/11. Which reminds me, I need to put in for a day off (due to the 9am appt to see her and 3pm radiation appt - no sense coming in). I also need to get that blood work done, Lipid and CMP W/GFR. It says fasting but not 100% sure. I will do this just incase. I will have to get to Quest as a walk in. I was gonna do it this past saturday but it snowed too much and I was too exausted. Looking forward to meeting with my physician to talk about the next steps in my PKD treatments. I wonder if she has a nephrologist for me??
