Monday again
I received a email from Joe's mother. She had gifted me a meditation series from Chopra.com. This of course was when her son and I were to be married. I know she struggles with money and so I returned the gift. She made me feel guilty by saying she thought I didn't think enough of our friendship as I returned the gift. I didn't feel right keeping it as it was a wedding present.
I had not the heart to tell her what state her son was in when I packed up and left. She's a sweet lady in poor health and from all the money he owes her doesn't need to hear more negative.
I'm takin the high rode-no cow paddy slinging here. Ill be the bitch that left.

Oh I'm sure she knows deep down. She's just in denial. I suspect their relationship is rife with son/mother dysfunction.
RMB has hit the target in my own strictly personal case. The "Denial" is a bit assumptive, but it is accurate enough for amateur psychoanalysis purposes. I keep hitting it off famously with my Adult (40) Child's next exes. He's never committed marriage, but the ex parade has been impressive. I do admire his taste in women.
I have been hurt by similar "High Roads" and? ? ? I don't even want to meet any more of my Adult Child's future ex'es. It hurts too much when they get all high roady on me during the break-ups. No moo paddy slinging. I stopped attending the getting-to-know you parties several exes ago. Let's just keep ^it^ on the high road from the first date, sweetie. Of course each high roading ex knows my knowledge base better than the younger models before them. Their phones are getting smarter by the Twitter Tweet.
Please don't insult my dog with what you are calling, "Bitch." Female dogs are not especially romantic critters. Even beaten crazy bitch wolves mate for life. What's love got to do with ^it^? Besides. . . Aren't you a Cat Person?
Funny thing is.....he told me that he had told his mother not to come between he and I and all the while they were apparently talking behind my back....dysfunction all the way around....sorry--not meaning to insult the "bitch" word. But I would hardly think of myself as someone who scratches peoples eyes out :) Done with the drama----Ill concentrate on the Stargazers.
Yup, "dysfunction all the way around" describes the relations between my 40 year old son and I to a heavily psychotheraputed T on my side of the generational divide. There are solid reasons for our estrangement on both sides of the void. Of course mama did ^it^ all, all by her lonesome. Just ask his many exes. I a good scapegoat, Boss. I'm still straddling the guilt fence about how bad I should feel about the women in his ex collection. They are grown women and their taste in men has nothing to do with me. That be theirs to sort. For sure the returned gifts went straight from the mailbox to the trash can. End of story. This old cow knows when to leave the pasture.
I've never bonded well enough with any cats for certainty, but I strongly suspect they don't fit their human stereotypes any more than female dogs, bulls, cows or pigs. I'm downright fanatical about learning from our pets/familiars. My female dogs have educated me quite well on the nature of REAL bitches. It hasn't been my destiny, so far, to bond with cats, but I have zero doubt that they can teach far more important things than scratching eyes out. REAL cat people are not any more likely to be found on Paris Catwalks than REAL bitches are likely to sit through a bitch session. So I believe. . . Proof irrelevant. Just believing.
I also believe Stargazers are worthy of concentrating on. Breathing with you. . .
Yeah in my personal case it’s based on my father and his brothers, all alcoholics, and their mother, who was in denial about their alcoholism and what crappy husbands and fathers they were. Not denial in the traditional sense but more in a boys will be boys sense, even when they were middle aged men. They could do no wrong even when it was so obvious they were degenerate grifters.
I'll go along with rmb on this one so it's unanimous except you are NOT a bitch and don't call yourself anything negative like that! Never ever, my friend with the big heart. You did the right thing..... I would have returned the gift too!
