Monday again
After a relaxing time at the treehouse I got home and started catching up on daily chores and am at work this morning. Upon arriving at work, my co-worker preceded to quit because she claims she works in a "hostile" environment. That was just enough to erk me.
Her wall was so high there was no way me nor my boss could convince her otherwise. I guess I should consider it job security. After she left, she sent me a text thanking me for my support in which I told her she was needed here at work no matter how she felt. I wasn't letting her off that easily. Oh well, I'm guilty of playing the victim in my past but feel I got way past all that and began recognizing it and changing it. She's just beginning that journey and will have to find out herself if she ever seeks help and is willing to recognize it.
I still have that piece of furniture at home I cannot seem to finish painting. I'm not sure what the mental block is for me. Maybe knowing life is moving forward if I finish it and I am not yet ready to let go of some things that have been on my mind. I know I need to. I have my counseling session tommorow and looking forward to going and dumping. I wrote a long email to a friend today in NJ telling them that I won't be contacting them anymore and gave them my number in case they ever needed to talk. I'm done chasing people to be in my life. I'd love for someone to put effort into me for once, aren't I worth that?
I signed up for a meetup group for parents of estranged adult children and it falls on my birthday but, think its important to go.
It's hard to explain to other people why my daughter and I don't speak. Heck if I knew, I'd tell them. I am already wandering what to do when I get home. I splurged today and ate a piece of birthday cake at work so I'm feeling guilty about that. Tune in tommorow for a new episode.......

Perhaps the most powerful healing mojo I find in the worldwide peer support network is how much we can learn from our individually unique and diverse healing journeys. Sharing my strictly personal experience with a sib-in-healing reinforces that piece of my recovery with positive reinforcement while reminding me to forgive myself for the healing still to be done. At least. . . That's my prayer and I'm sticking to ^it^.
In my own branch of the family tree, I think family estrangement is the only time honored family tradition we have. My middle aged sons remain bonded by their inability to pay their own bills and/or clean up their own messes and I am far from certain that is an improvement on the estrangement tradition, especially on the days they are showering me with the latest hate mommy cliches while demanding their U.S. size entitlements.
Sigh. . .
See you at the meet-up. This ^it^ seems to be at culture-wide epidemic proportions and we need to find healing hopes for ^it^.
You are worth so much more than you think .
You are a precious Princess of the one true KING ,JESUS !
YOU have royal blood.
