Monday
The weekend was awkward. After telling Roomie I didn't love him and he doesn't love me, he offered me a steak dinner which I declined. I feel guilty enough and don't want to take anything to keep the playing field even. I spent some time away Saturday with a friend just talking under the trees. I felt free for 5 minutes and was able to exhale a little. I did get a call from a cleaning company for a potential 2nd job which would be Godsend. I need the time away and the extra cash to stash.
Work has been chaotic with its share of problems but there is only so much one can control. Ive decided I just need to stay away from the bar and find a coffeeshop near by to nurse lattes. Will keep me out of trouble. I dont know how I'm going to survive the next 5 months under the same roof with Roomie-he is sure to work on me. He always does. Ive got to stick to my guns. The next barb out when he wants to talk is telling him I'll be moving out, that I think it's best. I hate hurting people, but, sometimes its best to rip the bandaid clean off.

How long have you and roomie been coupled? Just wondering. . .
Hope you get that second job. Both the extra cash and lack of time or energy for romantic cliches could, indeed, be a Godsend.
After my divorce, my ex and I continued to live together because we needed both incomes to keep the bills paid on the house. Even though we slept in different bedrooms I tried to maintain some privacy and looked the other way when she was getting dressed or in the bathroom with the door opened, otherwise my natural instincts would take over and I would end up saying or doing something I would later regret. When her bf moved up here, he built a house on the other side of town, and she moved in with him but by then, I was able to manage the monthly bills.
I would find it difficult to have a female roommate who I wasn't sharing intimacy with. I would have to love that person or have a fwb relationship with her.. I think it's the testosterone that does it to us men. That's why I can't imagine your roomy not wanting to have anything to do with you. It would tell me he has physical problems because, it just isn't natural. Forgive me if I am wrong and forgive me for judging....
No...he does have physical problems but refuses to do anything about it.
Arfie. Weve been off and on for 2 years. I left once before then decided to give him a chance but....after 6 months nothings changed. Im sick of romance. Ugggg.
My hubs is the romantic in my marriage. I'm as romantic as a crescent wrench. It seems to me that love and romance are two entirely different subjects. I like love better, but different strokes for different folks. To my pragmatic senses, romance is looking deeply into each other's eyes until the boredom sets in. Love is looking deeply in the same direction and going for it, come hell or high water.
Butttttttttttttaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. . .
Have I mentioned that I'm a multiply certified nut case? Willing to recertify for anyone who'll pick up the certification tab.
Sage, that's so sad because intimacy is what our bodies were made for...it's how we are designed and with so many things available in this day and age ....not seeing a doctor and taking advantage, to me is not love at all....It has helped me tremendously so age. diabetes, hypertension and all of the maladies of old age, can no longer be used as an excuse...... Just sayin dear....I would love to see you happy and getting your basic needs met but that's up to you.........Hugs.
