Mom's report
Things are sort of settling down now after a long year so far! My mind is working a little better, and my mom called me with her follow-up health report. She read the whole thing to me so I know that it is true, and she is not just trying to protect me. She said her cancer was grade 1 B, and stage 2. She does not need radiation or chemo at all. She is doing very well and can go back to work. They feel it is completely gone with no possibility of reaccurrence. (Like 99% sure)All I can say is that God has answered the prayers for her because she had this they think for about 8 years before getting the hysterectomy! She was so pleased that she told the doctor thank you for doing the surgery and being so nice. This was a lady who never went to doctors at all! I'm so glad she went and now she is proudly telling everyone how lucky she was. We were both saddened and shocked by the distant cousin who died of the same cancer, even though she was younger than the both of us. So this is not something to take lightly. I think we are both looking at life a little differently. It's interesting that both my mom and I went through this in the same year. We were able to share things that no one else could. Only by God's grace did I get through the hysterectomy and radiation in good enough shape so my mom had the courage to take the step to get checked. Maybe we don't know all the answers as to how God works, but this can't be a coincidence!
