mom's leg and the cat

last week i went to my former boss' "aloha" party. not aloha-hello, but aloha-goodbye. she isn't leaving the island or anything, but transferred elsewhere. she also got promoted. i was so happy for her! it was really great to see everyone i used to work with, they're such a fun bunch lol! i miss being able to work, most of all miss working with them.
Monday i took mom to get her cast off. she was really anxious to have her leg back! it took hours before they finally cut it off and she was cleared to go home. she's really happy to be free of that darn thing! i asked her doc to get her physical therapy, so he is.
the Xrays of my hips were negative for any arthritis. at least the area they pic-ed. my hips have been KILLING me since Feb and it gets so bad i can't put any weight on them some days. not sure if they took the right Xrays, somehow i feel like there's something going on in there.
had another psych eval (last one was in 2007)... results are in and they said i'm not crazy. they can't find anything wrong with me other than a mild form of depression. same results as last time. i feel really relieved because over the years the ex kept trying to convince me that i was totally mentally screwed and psychologically sick. he always told me that i needed serious treatment. and i'm cleared once AGAIN. so who's the totally sick and mentally twisted one NOW? *sigh*
Miko (the ex's cat) got his rabies shot today... and i'm happy to report (after repeatedly telling my ex to come get his cat) that he will be flown out to TX to live with the ex's mom. ex's bff said she will come get the cat Monday and take him to the airport. YAY! i'm tired of this cat tearing up my house, and i'm tired of having anything to do with the ex!
in other news... found out that a friend on DS passed away. she was really sweet and helped organize the holiday card lists every year. i was about to check on her, had been thinking of her when i found the notice. it's really sad and i'm still getting over the fact that she's gone, BUT she's no longer in pain. RIP, Becky.
take care everybody and i hope life is bringing blessings to you all!
