Mom's Home

I called my mom today and found out that she did indeed go home last night.  They waited until 6:00 PM to find out if she would be released!  I didn't call last night because I knew it would take a while to get her ready to go and then it's an hour's drive home, and then settled in for the night.  She has started to feel nauseaus the last couple days, but apparently it didn't alarm the doctors.I wanted to go see her, but still having Fibromyalgia flare-up, so hopefully tomorrow I can drive over there.  It's a little over an hour away, and I will feel better if my husband can drive in case I can't drive back by myself.  I talked to her today, and she was sitting outside on the porch.  It's been very hot and muggy here, and they don't have air conditioning.  I bought her a big loose-fitting sundress to wear so when people come to see her she is comfortable and looks nice.  Yellow is her favorite color.  Then when she is better she can take it in where it fits more snug.  I'm going to take her the leftover bottle of stool softener that I got when I came home.  It was one of the best investments I ever made so there was no pressure on my stomach when I had to "go".  They gave her suppositories, but this is much easier and gentler.  It's a tip I would give to anyone who has surgery of any kind.  Good stuff to know as I approach the over 50 years!  I'm up late tonight because my sleep routine is out of whack, and my pain killer schedule is delayed, which means I will be sleeping late again tomorrow.  Hopefully one day I can get on track!  Also the hot flashes don't help much either.  And it's a fact that people with Fibromyalgia don't sleep the deep sleep that they need.  But that's ok.  This way I get to write another entry in my journal for you all to read!  Lucky you!Have a great weekend everybody!
