mom broke leg

Friday after i wrote my journal entry, i went to the beach and took mom with me. it was a gorgeous day....
but she was trying to get out of the water and a wave came up, not that big, buckled her knees and rolled her sideways. then another one came and rolled her again. she broke her leg just above the ankle and it's really bad! she has severe osteoporosis, so it doesn't take much for her bones to snap.
mom crawled her way out of the water and to her fold-out chair where i called an ambulance. they took her to a hospital. but after i met up with them there, i found out they were only wrapping her up and discharging her. i was DISGUSTED!! where is the orthopedic sorgeon?! aren't they gonna at least TRY to set her bones BACK IN PLACE before wrapping it? but no, they jsut wrapped it and sent her home with me! her bones are MOVING around in there!!! told me they gave her enough pain killers and she sees the orthopedic surgeon Monday for an eval. even with the splint on, the leg looked distorted!
the weekend has been HELL. the stress has been super high and her leg stayed swollen 2-3x bigger then normal. i kept it elevated for her (propped it with pillows). Teddy, the new room mate went and got her a potty-chair and a shower-chair. she can't make it to the toilet, so we put one by the couch. i went and picked up a wheel chair, cuz she can't use the crutches with out falling over.
monday, i took her to the orthopedic sugeon for the eval. he was outraged by her lack of treatment Friday in the ER and was angry that he WAS NOT called in to see her that day. i told him that, that's what i had said! he scheduled her for surgery Thursday. and her pre-op is today (Thuesday).
i'm very tired and i ache all over from pushing her around. my back is killing me, too. my back injury and fibro is NOT handling this too well. plus, i have to get up and get her things all the time.
i also went to home depot yesterday and picked up some wood to make wheelchair ramps for the front door and the door to the shower (downstairs one). if you pray, pray for her that she recovers FAST. i'm not sure how long i can keep this up.
