moaning and groaning

The quilt is not finished i stashed it away when my outlaw mother came to visit for xmas. Well my lupus joined the visit and i feel like hell. My right knee and ankle are sore it feels stiff and swollen. I feel like a moaning idiot because I look so fat and healthy but feel so shitty. How do I xplain this to my family and doctor? We are in this town 4 and a half years and although I saw a Rheumatologist in town and have his medical reports  nobody seems to listen when i moan? I was diagnosed in 1997 with Lupus and confirmed by hundreds of labs and doctors, but I still feel like some doctors think I am playing up to it. Should I change my GP? or just bear with it.
