Mixed Up Stuff
Man do I feel like I'm just mixed up & a quarter turn off kilter today.
I'm coping with the gall bladder attacks & stuff & mostly can control it thru knowing what to eat & not to eat, but man on man, I miss food in general. I never thought I'd be so anxious to have a surgery but I'm at that point. I need so badly to get my life back in some kind of balance & I know this is a huge part of it. I remember reading somewhere that your immune system is 3/4 based on your digestive system & my heart is telling me that my whole crazy circus ride with the lupus is so tied up in this.
We had to have my dad taken to the hospital a couple of days ago. He had gone to my sisters & at some point complained abt just not feeling right. When all was said & done he somehow had accumulated some fluid on his lungs. He had bi-pass & valve surgery quite a number of yrs back now so to play it safe they put a nitro patch on him. They kept him just for two days to stabilize him & he's home now but that kind of turned life upside down for the couple days. I know as time goes on he's going to be so so difficult to deal with but we're not going to fret abt that now but wait & pray that the Lord will guide us at that time.
I got my partial denture plate & I'm really not sure how I feel abt it. I'm having a @#$@$@$#@# of a time trying to eat with it & usually end up taking it out. I think I was expecting too much & just thought OK it will feel like teeth & away we go. I don't know, I just don't know. Although I do know I need to go back to the denturist & have one side adjusted somehow cause it's bothering my gums a bit. I don't know anyone with a partial denture so I don't know if it shd feel so weird or not. I wish I could find the words, it just feels really strange & foreign. I don't know, I just don't know any more.
The one good thing I can say is my hubby is so so so wonderful right abt now in life. He trys to be so supportive & help in any way when the lupus is acting up. He's not pushing me abt the dentures, he's trying to understand & when I stop & think I think he probably shd have a medal right abt now for coping with me, whew, what more can I say.
Hubby let me feed the birds this winter. Do you know, sometimes I have to go out 3 times a day & put more food out. I tell ya, we're going to have the fattest happiest birds around. But it's so nice just to watch them sometimes or listen when they gather in our cedar hedge mid afternoon for what I call choir practice. I can almost imagine the Lord probably chuckling and shaking his head at me.
Well, OK, before I rattle on too much here I'll sign off for now. I so appreciate all my friends here & love reading your thoughts and comments on my journals.

Listen, 2 months since my GB surgery and you\'d never know I\'d had it. No problem with any food, even peanut butter but we are eating lower fat and more fruit/vegs..... When is your surgery scheduled?
Sorry to hear about your dad but glad that he did get checked out.
Dentures? Don\'t know much about that but love you hubbie for being so wonderful to you...hug him for me, okay?
Wishing you a good week ahead Kitty xoxo
I\'m so glad you wrote about the denture partial. We are trying to decide if it is right for dsil or not. Your post here helps support my idea that it will be one big trial for her, as that is my understanding from other things I have heard. I think what you are going through is very very typical, though very very frustrating!
I hope you get some solid answers soon about your gallbladder/surgery date. Surgery might be just the thing to solve a lot of issues! I hope you feel better soon. I too feel off kilter.
It\'s so nice to hear that you have such a supportive partner through this. Those are hard to come by. Praise God! :)
I am glad to see you wrote a journal. I just canclled my dentist appointment. The weather here is still very cold and snowy so I decided to wait till \"SPRING\"!! if it ever comes.I would love to hear your birds sing.
Sorry to hear about your dad but take it one day at a time. Your plate is so full right now. I had a partial plate years ago, could never get used to wearing it and throught it out. LOL Hope you can get used to it. Now I am sorr I don\'t have it. Your still hanging in on the gall bladder , hope you get it out soon. Wishing you the best day you could possible have. Love and hugs,
Hello, dear friend! How are you? I haven\'t heard from you in awhile and I miss you! I hope you AND your Dad are doing better. I wish you and your family a happy Easter. Blessings and love to you!
