Mission accomplished

Today I was finally able to say goodbye to something that has been my constant companion lately. Today I took my... (drumroll please!)...LAST prednisone tablet! While I suppose the pred did help me out immensely ,I am not sorry to see it go.  (just don't go too far, pred..I may need you again sometime).  I have about 9 other meds that I wouldn't mind parting company with but for now I'll settle for one. Besides I don't want to contribute to the hard times the economy is going through. If I were to give up all my medications they may have to lay off a shift at the pharmaceutical plant..as well as Walgreens.   Therefore I will proudly continue to take all the meds prescribed to me. Bring it on...I can take it. It's my patriotic duty. Happy 4th of July. Tom
