Missing you and...that thing called Love...
I miss you, but I miss that thing called Love as well....the love that made my heart skip a beat at the sight of you. It's all of the little things that one knows about each other, but your soul mate. It's the every day things from morning to night that just happens......knowing what one will say next in a sentence, the waiting you had to do if we were going out, so I could primp until I couldn't any longer, the 3 way conversation if either one of us was on the phone...and the look that was sometimes given to each other if interrupted too much while talking to one of our kids. I miss giving all I had to take care of you when you were sick. I miss the ongoing updates of this ole house. You could move a wall and make it look as if it had been that way from day one. I miss the...hey honey, what's up with the faucet.....can you fix it? This house, I am sure misses you as well!
I remember when we were newlyweds, the scripture verse about love that was so popular at the time.Love is patient and kind; love is not jealous or boastful; it is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrong, but rejoices in the right. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Cor.13:4
This verse sums it all up in missing the love that was unconditional, no matter what happened or what the outcome was....that feeling of being loved was always there 24/7. I cry when I think about it too much, what we had was so true and honest. Some say, that because we know this feeling and had it at one time, that this journey is tougher and harder to live with. I don't know, except that I sure do miss that awesome feeling of what we called love. Maybe someday, maybe some way that feeling will exist again. But, if it doesn't I know I will have treasured it at least once in my lifetime. I miss you, Mark. You were the greatest guy around. Everyone misses you, but not near the amount that I do.Your loving wife of 30 some years.
