Missing my boy....
Ok...feeling sorry for myself. I lost my son a year ago last week and I cant even believe it. It truly feels like it was maybe last month. Plus i'm coming up on the anniversary of my Husbands passing and my Dad's passing and how am I supposed to handle that?! It's just not fair and I still can't come to terms with it. what should I do...

Don\'t be so hard on yourself...a year is still early in the journey. Plus, add the other losses and the journey becomes harder. Just take one day at a time and one baby step at a time. Before you know it those baby steps turn into miles. I have 5 years coming up in Nov. and I was in the same place you are now. The second year was bad for me also. I still had the physical pain in my heart and soul. 3rd year was a little better where I wasn\'t crying every single day. It takes time and we can\'t rush it. Also everyone grieves differently so just be kind to yourself, please. Hugs, Connie
These are all such significant losses... Deepest of sighs... The only way that I have found to \"do it\" is to breathe as deeply as I can through these moments one breath at a time.
These losses are all so raw and it does take time... A lot of time and becomes our life\'s work, I believe.
Be as gentle on yourself as you can be and know that you have sisters of the heart here who will stand beside you.
This is a very painful time for you and I\'m so sorry... Please know that I\'m sending a heartfelt hug filled with loving care. Just this moment, just this day and lots of deep inhales, exhales and pauses in the midst.
XO Joanie
As the Moms above said do not be so hard on yourself. Their is no real answer as to how to deal with the greatest loss of our lives. After almost 5 years I have come to terms with my son is at peace and not dealing with this world anymore.
I can say having the support system on here saved me and also my sisters and friends being there for me. Sometimes it seems others have forgotten, but I would not wear the face as much and let others help me. I hope you have a support system and also finally going to counseling has helped me learn this is part of my life now and I am not alone. Be gentle to yourself, I am sorry for your losses. I get some peace from knowing my son, my brother and my Dad are all together. Lots of emotions and take it one day or week at a time. God Bless you and peace and comfort to you. Write when you need to. Love and hugs Lynette
As Connie, Joanie and Lynette have said, be gentle with yourself...
Although a year seems like a lifetime and at the same time seems like yesterday... It is so recent on the journey.
Take it a second, minute at a time
Hugs, maryLou ...Jenns mom
It isn\'t fair...none of it. I am so sorry for all your losses, it must feel unreal. How do you do it? You keep putting one foot in front of the other...you take it minute by minute if necessary. Just do only what you have to do. You have made it this far through things you didn\'t think you could survive...you can do this. Love and gentle hugs to you...Karen
No, it\'s not fair!!! It sucks, BIG TIME! I don\'t know about you, but I actually find great release in screaming. I mean really screaming....til there\'s no sound left within me. And screaming in the shower is ever better. Something about the screams being released while the water rushes over my body that really helps me when I feel SO overwhelmed.
I can\'t begin to imagine all the thoughts and emotions you are experiencing my sweet friend.... Too much loss....too close together....too close to your soul.... I think I may just scream with and for you today!!!
Then, after screaming, we exhale, pick ourselves up off the floor, and take one more small step into forward positive energy to the best of our ability. I don\'t know how we do it....I just know we do....
Thinking of you and sending so much love~~Teri
I agree it isn\'t fair and it hurts like no other pain emotional or physical. I too am so very sorry for your losses. Sending you tightest of hugs.
Terry
It\'s totally not fair! Experiencing multiple losses of ones you love so much is overwhelming. I can\'t believe it\'s been 5 years since I lost both of my sons just 1 month apart. I\'m only just now beginning to grieve, up until now I have been numb, probably still a form of shock, which is probably the body\'s way of coping.
Whatever you are feeling is unique to you & ok. I agree with the other moms here who suggest being gentle with yourself. You have suffered significant traumas one on top of another. Each day you wake up....each time you take a step.....each time you inhale.....each time you exhale.... you are moving forward. It\'s like we are on automatic pilot.....our body knows what it needs & little by little we learn to give it what it needs. Support is extremely helpful, to be among those who truly understand our pain. Come here as often as you need, we are always here.
Hugs of compassion.....Vicki
