Missed by Fay

Well the storm missed us again. Fortunately it did not become a Hurricane and it turned to the east just before landfall. We are now on the west side of it so we may not even get much rain from it. I do feel bad for those in the center of the state and those on the east coast. They are going to get lots of rain and flooding and some tropical storm winds.  Now I can get back to normal around here. Have to wait a few days for my back  and body to calm down before I can get the shutters back down though. Thank God for ice. Of course after taking down the shutters I well be messed up again for a few days. Oh well I could be lots worse off.  Had a lady Debbie works with bring me a laptop that she won from work. They retire old ones every so often and have a drawing to see who gets to buy them at a very cheap price. Well I checked it out and after I told her that it well need an operating system, battery and a wireless card she decided not to spend the money and told me I could have it !! Debbie gave her the money that she had in it though. Now I have a laptop that I can play with. I am having trouble getting my hard drive from my current old laptop to work in it but I'll figure it out somehow.  Thanks for everyone for all the incouragement and good wishes over the last couple of days. Debbie and I are pretty much hermits. We do not have any friends or go anywhere. We are very practical people and not very social. It is nice to have all the friends I have here though. Thanks again.
