misplaced emotions...

I just yelled at dave(my mothers husband). He rudely interrupted my conversation with an ignorant and bigotted comment, or rather noise. I yelled shut up and quickly tried to say something along the lines of "you dont like it when I interfere in your conversations with my comments so dont interfere in mine". As I said this line I quickly realized how much of an over reaction that was.

While I did find him annoying, and rude, and bigotted in that moment, it needed more of an eye roll and maybe a snarky comment kind of response, not yelling.

I know why I yelled. My anxiety is off the wall, I was already talking loud and as fast as I can so I could finish what I wanted to say and return to the safety of my room. His noise intervened in me returning to my safety.

He didnt know that though, and he didnt deserve to be yelled at... but I dont know if I want to apologize simply on the standard that it might make it seem that his interruption was okay. Is acknowledging that it was an overreaction to myself enough?

Anyways thats not the real problem here. The real problem is "the wolf", which is what I will be calling him from now on, wont leave my brain this week. My anxiety is overwhelming and I can honestly say that Dave is not the first person I have accidentally released it to in the form of sass.

I don't know whats worse, not knowing how to deal with the wolf being on my mind, or not knowing how to manage the emotions that occur because of it.

Well, thats all folks.
