MILLIE - MY LITTLE FRIEND
So I have been very down for the past few days and
my little Millie knows it. All day she has been
sitting right next to me. She even brought me a rawhide chew
as a gift (I think). She put it down in front of me and then
got close and is now resting her head on my leg - sleeping.
Aren't our animals amazing? I have found that kids expect a lot - they get to
do whatever they want and we're supposed to love them anyway. Animals just want to please us and love us - why can't I find a man like that? Just kidding. I did and he's gone.
But I have my little Millie - I am going to upload a photo of her soon. She's not a gorgeous dog - she would do well guarding a junk yard - she looks mean and barks loudly but inside has a heart of gold and loves to snuggle.
Millie is a cross between Chow and a Boxer - that conjures up an interesting picture, doesn't it?

I LOVE the junkyard meanies. They seem to know that you love them even though they are not the gorgeous highly bred diva down the street, and are all that much more loyal. I found a wonderful shepard who had been hit by a car years ago. She was probably beautiful but high maintance before she got hit. She was a little scrambled in looks and behavior for some months. I was very sad to see her go when i found her a home, she still had a kind of \"hitch\" when she walked, and was not \"even\" in the way her face was lined up exactly, but I swear, that dog was so appreciate of the love that was given her, it was just amazing. Yep, I like the the kind of scraggly ones that maybe everyone wouln\'t choose. All that loving that \"loving the under dog\" is so safe with animals, and makes me stay away from the real life junkyard meanies!
