Millie and Jack (Jack Bennie)

My 2 pups like to stick around me - but they also like to be outside.  So when I let them out - they sit out there - while I'm heating the whole outdoors it seems - watching me from my deck. I just don't have the heart to close the door on them.
I have to figure out something that works better than this - my heating bills are getting outrageous.
I also have to figure out a better sleeping arrangement - they think my KING size bed is theirs and we fight for space all night long.  Jack, the little guy, has learned how to get under the covers and roll so that he gets all wound up in them - and I have to fight to get them back.
I need some sleep, for Pete's sake. :)  aww our pups - what would we do without them.

Oh Yea.........I can sure relate to this with 6 cats:(:( They stand at the door to go in and/or out....................forever........ya let one out, 2 come in, let them out, 2 more come in...........its a constant battle:(

As for bedtime?????????? Maybe another bedroom for the dogs............LOL........yea right, like that would work.

Good luck honey..........I feel your pain:)..............IF you find a solution.........let me know:):)

LOL thank you deb - I suppose I could lock them in another bedroom but I\"d never hear the end of it. Or they\'d just ignore me forever after that.... :)

LOL - don\'t you dare rate my journal copperhead :)

Bill - I think you may have something there. The only thing is that one of my dogs is so big the doggie door would be accessible to humans too. Not exactly what I\"m looking for but heck - it\'s worth a try :)

Mine\'s 13 LJ. If I had my time over I\'d definately get one of those doggie doors. They even come with remote control that you can put into the doggie collars so when they get close, the doggie door unlocks lol Amazing. Enjoy them LJ. Mines been a good mate. Oh, I also rated your journal as moving :}

Thanks Coogee - I just rated myself too :) that is too funny. I agree the more dogs the better. They are great friends.

When your dog leaves you - let me know - I have a very soothing poem for you.

That sounds pretty normal to me, lol. I sleep with a 100 lb. mastiff mix that believes the bed is his ( only a full bed ) and lets me have a small piece of it if I\'m lucky, On the rare occasion when he sleeps with my son I actually miss him though, you can\'t win, lol.
Good luck getting more sleep!!

LOL Jean - you can\'t live with them and you can\'t live without them :) That is so funny. A Matiff? Wow - I have always wanted a Mastiff - maybe i\'ll rethink that. But Millie is about 90 pounds so I suppose they are of a similar size - - - BIG :)

debbear - you always make me laugh - you are one funny lady. I hope I\'m the highest rated journal. Actually I rated my journal twice - is there an honesty button somewhere? I hope not.

Thank you carly - the circles under my eyes need some cover-up :)
I\"m thinking of getting them some nice big, comfy dog beds. Will they sleep in them? I doubt it. Jack - the little one snuggles up - puts his head on my shoulder and stares at me until he goes to sleep. It\'s his little ritual - I don\'t think he\'s going to let go of that one - the little cutie.
