milestone

Well - my oldest turns 21 years old today.  And do you know what he's doing? He's going to a meeting with his Young Life group (Young Life is a nondemoninational Christian youth group for high school students. My son is one of the college leaders). After the meeting he will go out with some of his fellow leaders for a few.  I KNOW that is all he'll do. The only time he ever drank under 21 was when he was where it is legal to drink under 21...in other countries. Funny how different siblings can be - complete opposites -- yet....there are similiarties (of course). For the most part.....the oldest is such an extreme - whereas his brothers can be the other extreme. Well...."they" say "variety is the spice of life" -- how true it is!T-Man had his treatment today. Only one in his "group".  I don't think there is a group anymore. And because there isn't any group right now.....he gets out of treatment a half hour earlier than he's supposed to. He likes that part. I like the part they we will get reinforcement on some parenting issues. Almost a little too late but better late than never, I say.  We really could have used the help - even over the past few months he stopped using. My middle son's birthdyay is in two days. He will be 19. So hard to believe. I'm going out of town to my niece's bridal shower and realized I won't be around for his birthday!  Found out today that he won't be around for it, either. We can celebrate on Sunday. We'll all be home....
