Mid August Slump
Hello little journal and peeps who might read it!
I am now back on pain medicine, since July 20th. I tried life with no narcotic pain medicine, and my doctors (both of them) insisted I go back to taking the pain medicine. I had to go the hospital four times, with three separate stays. Since I have been back on the patch, I have been fairing somewhat better. I started back on the fentanyl 25 dose, now at the fentanyl 50 dose. Of course, Patch day means mini manic night the first night of the patch, but I have learned to use the time effectively, and try to get at least some rest.
I found a new website base on a wellness book--->Wellpeople.com. It costs $40 a year, but I love the layout and how it really helps with my goals and I love the catalogued information. It has already helped me a lot. I am always finding new things on the web. I remember back in 1994 when I first went on the internet, there wasn't very much on it yet. And navigation was much different using a modem with speeds measured in kb per second.
I feel stuck in a negative space right now. Mom is being negative, complaining all the time. She constantly has something wrong with her, at least that is what she perceives with her hypochondria. Papa is getting worse with his Parkinson's. He can't put his pants on anymore, even if I leave him with them for two hours, he just hold them and stares at them for two hours. SO I guess I will help him and we will do it together. I feel much better since my meds got fixed last month, both the pain meds and the other meds.
My big area that I need to focus on is a couple of household projects that keep holding me back: 1: the kitchen shelf needs to be moved. 2: The bill box needs to be cleaned out. 3: The bird feeders need to be filled. I have been stuck with these three on my to do list for a month. I have such inertia when I think about them. Just a big stumbling block. I think I am going to ask my Sis-in-law for help on the shelf. And Mom and I will do the bills. My nephew can help with the bird feeders. What can I say? I get by with a little help form my friends!
Now is the time to refresh myself and reconnoiter, work on my goals. It's all do-able. Just need to do it.

*hugs* You are such a sweetheart taking care of your parents like that. I know how hard you work for them. I\'m glad you are journaling and working on yourself. It\'s good to get things out (says the girl who hasn\'t journaled in a week)
