Messed Up

I am feeling lost.  My mom will have been gone for eight months by Nov. 3rd.  It doesn't feel like it's been that long.  I'm going crazy since I got laid off my job Oct. 1st.  They won't take me back anytime soon because their business is failing and they have been downsizing for a long time.  I turned 50 this year, the first birthday without my mom.  I am beginning to feel my age and realize that I'm alone now.  My nephew doesn't call me much anymore and I don't know when or if I'm going to work again.  I tried taking the prozac but it doesn't seem to help.  I am struggling to keep my faith.  I haven't felt this alone before.

Keep taking the prozac. It can take up to 6 weeks to kick in, and in my experience it just gives you enough breathing space to think and live and start to mend. Are you involved in a church? Perhaps you could ask your pastor to visit you and talk about your faith. I can\'t say I know how you feel as our situations are very different, but I know what losing your faith feels like. You need it more than ever right now.
