Mess
I woke up a mess this morning. I stayed in bed as long as time would permit and was almost late getting to work. I am finding it hard to settle down in my current situation. I need a camping trip and hoping that the parks will be open very soon. Joe went over to is friends house last night-this friend is his drinking enabler.
I gave up on buying much needed new clothes-Target is the only thing open and they won't let you try on clothes. Ive been there two nights in a row returning things because they did not fit. And...thats another thing. Joe's diet is terrible. Last night was Taco tuesday and he got bent out of shape because I told him I wasn't eating and that I needed to get a hanlde on my diet. Instead I bought a roast and the veggies to put in the crockpot for tonight.
My head isn't right. I'm out of sorts. There is no work to do at my job so I'm sitting around trying to look busy all day. I should probably take some vacation days but not sure how boss would feel about that and that upsets me because when things finally do reopen, I might want those vacation days to take off. I've been making alot of mistakes at work. It's not like me. I'm not sure what to do. Joe tells me to relax but my job is my livelihood, and has kept us a float since Joe hasn't been working. He's been waiting on his unemploment for weeks now and they still haven't gotten the website fixed. It's frustrating.

If you have vacation time coming to you, then I would take it, especially since you feel you need it right now. Talk to your boss and ask him when he feels the best time would be to take a vacation. You might be surprised.
Speaking as a former supervisor for a company, I would rather my workers take time off when it was slow. When we were buried with work was when I needed them the most.
Life in limbo is frustrating and it wears us down. When everyone is uncertain of the future it is a collective feeling of not being our best selves.
I am finding it takes more effort to take care of myself.
I have been setting my alarm earlier so that I can have a half hour to enjoy the bliss before getting up. Little doses of self kindness goes a long way.
I hear you about the camping. I’ve been watching the weather for a few days of sun to get into the mountains solo. New England has been slow to warm up. Next week looks like I may have a window. There’s a little cabin on the Appalachian trail a few hours away on a mountain top that I will head to. Even has a wood stove. Silence. Ahhh
What upsets me is....Home Depot and Lowes have been full of people since the beginning of this whole thing....I don't know why they would close the campsites and limit how many people camp in a group? Sleep has always been my go to thing-if I can't take care of myself and treat myself to anything else, I've always allowed myself more sleep-however, it's running into things that are more important.
I'd love to take my time off if I could go camping-I'm kindve waiting to see I they open camping back up before I decide to take off again.
Finallyawake now, I hope you get to your little cabin in the woods, I'm terribly jealous!
