MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
Yes, I said it. Merry CHRISTmas. Pardon me for standing on my soapbox, but I hate it when people write "Merry X-mas". I once heard it explained that when people say X-mas, they're taking the CHRIST out of Christmas, and let's face it, there really wouldn't be a Christmas without CHRIST. OK, I'm done preaching now, I just wanted to tell all my DS pals Merry Christmas. I'M SO PROUD!! I'm learning to cook! And I find that the more I cook, the more I want to. Last night, I made 2 pecan pies, and WOW! They were so good. I think a lot of my new found culinary talents are coming out because people never expect me to cook anything, and I just love hearing "YOU made THAT?!?!?" It's so much fun to see the look on their faces when they realize that the one that used to bring the cups, plates, and napkins to the family gatherings is now bringing the pecan pies and sweet potato casseroles. I have Scooby to thank for a lot of this, the man likes to eat and he is a wonderful cook himself, so he's teaching me. Stay tuned for further updates in this department, I'm sure it will be a lot of trial and error (the poundcake was a BIG error), but I'm having fun. Anyway, y'all have a wonderful day, I gotta go to work now. Yes, work on Christmas Eve. I need the money, so off I go. I LOVE EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU!!

It sounds like your turning into a real chef! Cooking is so therapeutic and relaxing...not to mention what a great reward you get when it\'s done...except maybe the pound-cake! LOL
