Memphis Trip
Hello Community,
We drove to Memphis for baseball (minor league), BBQ, oysters (at Pearls), and to escape the dreariness of Chicago. The drive was fun and the first day in Memphis was fun as well.
The second day in Memphis there was a downpour and the second baseball game was rained out. The Mississippi river has caused a great deal of flooding in S. Illinois and SE Missouri. Several towns were evacuated and much farmland is under water and many businesses have been hurt badly.
My problems pale when compared to those directly affected by the flooding and tornadoes. I cannot feel sorry for myself when others are suffering so. (Thank you inner friend.)
Yesterday I signed up for a yoga class. I never before thought I would be doing yoga. Today is a nice day in Chicago (at last) so I will walk about 5 miles. This is part of my Screw Parkinson's Challenge.
