We said prayers for them today, in synagogue. Very meaningful time. Now we must stil fight for our freedoms here at home. There are people trying to delete them. We are not a corporation, we are a democratic country. To continue to be one takes work and education. Civil classes again, voting without the new restrictions. Womens right to choose. Education without cost. Free colleges. Why can Europe do this and we cannot? We need an educated public to keep our democracy.
I thanked my Dad and my nephews, one of which is retiring in a few days. My poor Dad saw the WWII soldiers come home as heros. When he came home from Viet Nam they spat on him. He still is hurt and says he does not understand. I try to explain it to him but it doesn\'t do any good. I pray no other veteran coming home from war will ever have to endure that again. Thank you Linda for this heartfelt journal!
