"Why our ancestors never missed work for a cold. LOOK AT THE INGREDIENTS in their cough medicine:
morphine, 1/8 of a gram, cannibas, 4 ml, alcohol 4 1/2 ml, chloroform 2 1/2 ml."

finally painted the chairs. LOVE the color. super hot today, but doesn't look like the third tropical storm is coming here. to be honest, we need the rain - its very hot. planned to go to timeshare to swim and jacuzzi, but wiped out after a few hours of painting - i'm so weak. wow. this is a whole different me. wonder when my iron will increase enough to feel normal again.
talked to r - both r's actually. s is posing with her sister who people are assuming is her mother, which is a piss off and s is making a joke out of it - just leave it to b, who will say its not her influence or doing, but it ALWAYS is. there is no way she thought r would think that is funny. super underhanded. i figured that was it. then i read on.
then b is complaining that all of the kids are in high school now and every single one of them, s included, is struggling, just as b did and she is clueless what to do about it, because she totally sucks at school - only their aunts finished college (and did absolutely NOTHING with it afterward), the rest of them dropped it after one semester. hmmm. how do you hold back with an i told you so and told you to stay out of this 16 years ago. grrrr. and then you feel guilty as well. no idea if that would or wouldn't be happening in a different environment with s.
study habits are most of it with school. a LOT of people have shitty study habits. was talking to n about this the other day and told him to get The Princeton Review, "cracking the sat" as the "tricks" alone are helpful, for people with bad study skills. so is underlining with a pen, passages in the textbook, during a lecture and putting stars next to the sections the teacher goes over more than once - those are the test questions. so is, getting the BOOKS for the following year the summer BEFORE the following year so the kids can learn without grades the first time and at their leisure and the rest of the year is just a review. i guarantee you b did NONE of this and by now their study skills are shit, so they are struggling, or it could be something more serious - like something physical, i guess, but show me that in writing, because i doubt it. i'm not going to say a word because i'll just snap at her.
r's point. this is exactly what she didn't want to happen to s. she wanted something better for her and she felt she was too young to be raising kids back then. all of us expected r to go to college at that age. she never did, even now, she still hasn't. she wanted s's focus to be something other than hanging out with the gazillion people who come and go from their houses all the time. and then i feel guilty for not backing it up more because she tried over and over again after first trying to convince me. the part of r that is related to us is typical in most of us. we are like pitt bulls. we keep trying until the deed is done, never give up, persist, try different angles. you could you just didn't kind of thing, even though she and her stepfather had me convinced at first.
he said the only thing he was requesting was a copy of her diploma from college, if he was lucky enough to be alive when she finished (he's been gone ten years, so it wouldn't have happened, unless it was sent to the grandmother, who is still alive - wonder what kind of can of worms that would open. r had pointed that out, saying if "they" as in b, finds out, they will drag her back down, they always do. it has to be far away and anonymous). and b is going on, so s can grow up to be a prima donna and r is saying, you are jealous of an infant - she didn't even grow up yet, and you are already trying to drag her down. why do you think i left? to get away from you. but here you are anyway, uninvited but here you are. and then its jc invited me. he had no right. its his house. its my house when i'm visiting. then r is saying to jc, you have never wondered if there wasn't so much chaos in our lives, how we might have done with everything else. you never think about that? you wouldn't want to see the possible results? and kind of KNOW instead of just wondering?
evil nate started his shit right after that, for no other reason than he wanted attention for himself at that time. he claims he was "confused" but i have seen people like that my entire life. they LOVE throwing wrenches in others' things and don't care at all what does or doesn't happen to anyone else, including an infant. amazing. also amazing how often the situation with s comes up. r probably should have done an open adoption, but it would have had to be a big secret because b would ruin it any chance she had.
jc was in trouble for calling b, but it didn't change it, he had already called her and b already showed up and started her crap - she'd been starting crap her entire life with every single member of her family. some put up with it and some hate her for it. each person is different about it. with r its more like a hate/love thing, more the first one than the second. actions speak louder than words - and b's actions are always sinister, no matter how much she tries to sugar coat it. would i want to deal with ANY of that. the answer is no. r's step dad knew this and was like, you are going to need to get out of dodge with s because b won't back down. to be honest, i think b would have started crap every step of the way if she could find s and who needs that kind of bull shit in their life. no one. that whole thing is so sad, its sick.
but i'm reading her stupid complaints and i'm like, YOU are the problem b. your kids have shit study skills because of YOU. your priorities and the way you act are all screwed up and always were. the next argument would be, there is no way to tell how it would go anyway, if its genes and not study skills then struggling in high school would happen no matter what.
so that was today. then rn called for something more basic. she is giving kmr with moist cat food, to the rescue who wasn't eating properly and its working - so she needs more kmr.

never knew this one: ILY means \"I Love You\" So now you know - ILY means \"I Love You\" - don\'t thank us. YW! What does ILY mean? ILY is an acronym, abbreviation or slang word that is explained above where the ILY definition is given. (and YW means your welcome). still getting all these down. lol.
at the same time all this was going on r was saying there was a woman in the hospital at the time she had s, whose husband was violent and she gave birth to triplets early because of him being violent and the triplets were small and it was early and they died. that is worse. and r was saying the woman said if they were adopted she requested three separate homes so if the husband did find one of them, at least the other two might be safe living elsewhere. what a life! and what about any other children they have or already have had and what about the woman herself? no one should be living where they are in fear for their life. its sick. and you think to yourself, that could be three adoptions for people waiting for years to adopt or the price of international adoption abroad which is RIDICULOUSLY high, three empty spaces. life is strange.
and another whose boyfriend was in jail for violence, the first child she had with him was in foster care and the second one died, the girl was 15 who was going through this and it was local and that was way before internet was popular and you didn\'t hear stuff like that very often.
then the kids started messing around singing anna, hanna, susanna and the conversation becomes incoherent and silly - fun but inappropriate and her stepfather shrugs and shakes his head and leaves the room saying, the kids don\'t know what they are saying, they\'re just playing around. he goes to the back of the house and lights up a doobie, out of reach from everyone else, but the door is open, its off the pool and everyone knows everything anyway.
its funny, the kids aren\'t into that at all, because their parents were into it. they roll their eyes and head in the opposite direction. circles make squares and squares make circles. the stepfather was raised by career military parents - like 100 years worth of military ancestors, and he ended up a hippi after his own stint in the military.
