its raining. i'm in a LOT of pain. having trouble with my right leg. wth? i called rn and k to see what to do. i'm on ibuprophen gel caps and have stronger anti-inflamatories in the fridge from the accident. if i don't change position i'm fine. but getting up and down or trying to get into a seat from standing is torture.
k said to put a heating pad for 20 minutes on the sore area(s) and then let it cool or if you can handle the pain, an ice pack for 20 minutes as the extremes of temperature stimulate growth/healing. so i used the heating pad (no ice though) and it helped in the morning. by afternoon, its all pain again. its also raining so probably made it worse as everything always hurts when it rains.
went to the church fair with a, for calamari and part of it was burned. grrrrr. this is the second time at a public thing, where the item is BURNED and they serve it. grrrr. the one before this was soup that was served at an animal function about 9 years ago. the burned half of the calamari ruins the side that isn't burned and that taste doesn't go away. i know its for a church but people remember things like that. what is it with food lately. not hitting any good ones out there. lol. their fair was mostly rained out. what a shame. they should have a rain date - they can do that for just the food part, as its all such a waste as it is now.
the weather is so weird lately it keeps feeling like its september and we are headed for winter, instead of april and headed for summer. its been 60 degrees at night lately and have the heat on again. still going straight home after work, doctor's orders. and it still feels soooo bizarre to do this. can see why people get depressed if this is how they live their entire lives all year.
cashews are supposed to be the equivalent of prozac, will try that next, as prozac is supposed to be a "happy pill". just started reading oliver twist by charles dickens and its FABULOUS. can't believe i never read this book. i think they had us see the play instead every time it came up in english classes in high school. it is easily the best book i have ever read. he totally exposes the hypocrisy and duplicity of humans. like he lets you know the person is being two-faced and then DETAILS of how they go about it. its fascinating. its also written in old english from the early 1800's so there is a lot of footnotes explaining what the slang words and phrases mean. very helpful. its the kind of book that as bad as anything out there may be in anyone's life, this book depicts all that is worse on every level. lol. amazing.

if you see the one from china and korea, they BOIL dog alive, its still alive and peta went in to see it and film it. that is enough to go to war against china and korea over. wtf? how long has this whacko shit been going on?
they say stories told in the past about \"giants\" were really stories about abusive adults, as an adult IS a giant compared to a small child. amazing how long abuse has gone on. they say stories like jack and the bean stalk is really a brave child who took on an abusive adult (the giant) and won, so became folklore and then a \"story\".
oliver twist is the top - totally loving this book!
a handful of almonds gets rid of migraine - good to know.
